Figured I'd post this as a filler whilst I'm working on other stuff, using my old Tripod model made in Max 7 and rendered in Vue. This is based on John Christophers The Tripods not War of the Worlds
Best thing about the TV series was the six episodes of the second season set inside "The City of Gold and Lead". Like "The Tripods" machines, the Masters, gloriously voiced by Geordie John Woodvine from part five through to ten, were also three-legged thus making them very immobile! Wonder if the BBC will ever release the second series?
With great difficulty, a mate of mine has been trying out some anims with this but doing a walk cycle that looks realistic is a hard thing to do depending on how the legs are arranged.

Wonderful. Remember the TV Show? Along with Chocky's Children and Doctor Who that was one to watch.
Love the lighting and the tripod models.
The legs look good. To often legs on tripods' legs look weak. These look strong.
Wow - I love this! Never saw the show - but if it's like this I ought to!
Hi Tim,these Tripods are of my own design, not those from the BBC TV series.

How does a tripod walk?
