The Mask - Sculpture

I did this sculpture around 1995 based on the Dark Horse Comic Book character The Mask, drawn by Doug Mahnke. The model was sculpted in Fimo and painted in Humbrol Acrylic paints. I ended up chopping this model just below the smiley face badge and making it into a head and shoulders bust which I gave some friends as a moving in present when they got their first flat in Walthamstow, London.

wow! i love your art. as a big maquette fanatic, i might have to ask you questions about sculpting. if you don't mind of course. i'll be back later to read the rest of your blog. and thanks for passing through my mine! :)

Nice... It'd be cool to see it from other angles too!
