The Outsiders - CG work

During the Summer I was asked by Niel Bushnell of Qurios Entertainment if I'd like to do some CG modelling on a TV Pilot for ITV called The Outsiders that they were doing the FX work on. After building spaceships for BBC 2's Hyperdrive this show seemed like it would be fun for different reasons, the show is set present day and the work I would be doing was going to be a location seen in the show. We travelled over to Liverpool where the show was being filmed to visit the location at which part of the live-action shoot was taking place, I gathered reference material with Niel, and got to see some of the actual filming taking place.

I'll talk more about my work on this project in a few weeks after the show has aired on October 3rd. You'll also be able to see more info on the FX work for this show on the Qurios Blog over the next few months.

In the meantime you can read more about the show here and see some preview clips and photos http://tinyurl.com/k829x

with all this work on spaceships you've been doing, have you considered applying to NASA?

After looking at their latest plans for going back into space (Apollo redux), I think they need some cooler ideas for space ships!!!!

Watched the show last night, looks very expensive and shiny. Be interested to find out what bits you did. Did wonder if the production company cleared the rights for Hudson Hawk before doing a remake though. Pity they left out bunny "Bunny, ball ball"!
