OK,I've uploaded to You Tube the small anim I did of the Cavorite Sphere, for some reason I got a bit of a flicker on one of the materials, not too sure what caused that. Anyway this was rendered in Vue 5 Infinite.

Joe Bradford Blog Link
Here's a link to my friends new Blog, he's just started posting some of his character work. There's a rather choice one of me on there, though I'm not sure if I should be happy or not, I must have picked the wrong week to give up glue sniffing by the look of me. :)
Anyway check out his Blog here http://joebradford.blogspot.com/

Cavorite Sphere pt 2
Here are 3 frames from an animation I set up using my Cavorite Sphere model, see here http://tinyurl.com/fogyvI haven't got around to rendering it yet but I'll maybe leave it render overnight one evening and post it up here when it's done. It ain't terribly exiting though so don't expect ILM.

Shuttle Craft WIP
This is one of those ships that I made that has been squashed, stretched, chopped and changed more times than I can remember, and when I found it sitting on my spare drive the other day I thought I'd post some pics of the two versions that I liked best. The texture work is only temporary for these renders, but it shows the advantage that CG modelling has over real world modelling in terms of being able to have multiple versions of a ship without having to rebuild it again. I'm sure one day it'll find a home. :)
Shoes and Hats
Not all jobs are as fun as Hyperdrive, The Outsiders etc... A recent job was to take 135 high quality images of a fashion model posing with an assortment of Hats, Handbags, Shoes etc... and place them against a white backdrop. A fairly straight forward if slightly dull job, made annoying by the assortment of feathered hats and fluffy handbags she seemed to be carrying in most pics.
Deployment Strategy - Sky Command Building

This model originally started off as some cargo containers, early in the year I turned them into a building for Mark Cheng's Sci-Fi Short Deployment Strategy. When I had other work commitments I handed this over to Simon Hilton who did the roof area modeling , turrets, mid level bus landing bay and all the texturing. This has been finished for quite some time now, I've made mention of this as the latest edition of Student Filmakers Magazine is running a feature on this short, in which myself and Simon get a mention for our contribution.

IMDB credit
Got 2 credits on the IMDB now, Hyperdrive and The Outsiders. I'm almost famous :) Only the other day I had 2 young ladies braying and knocking on my front door... eventually I had to let them out !

There are 7 other Glazebrook's listed on the IMDB, my surname is more popular than I thought. Funnily one of them has my wife's name and one my brothers.

The Outsiders - CG work
During the Summer I was asked by Niel Bushnell of Qurios Entertainment if I'd like to do some CG modelling on a TV Pilot for ITV called The Outsiders that they were doing the FX work on. After building spaceships for BBC 2's Hyperdrive this show seemed like it would be fun for different reasons, the show is set present day and the work I would be doing was going to be a location seen in the show. We travelled over to Liverpool where the show was being filmed to visit the location at which part of the live-action shoot was taking place, I gathered reference material with Niel, and got to see some of the actual filming taking place.I'll talk more about my work on this project in a few weeks after the show has aired on October 3rd. You'll also be able to see more info on the FX work for this show on the Qurios Blog over the next few months.
In the meantime you can read more about the show here and see some preview clips and photos http://tinyurl.com/k829x

Nose Cone - Now Ship

The Nose Cone has now started to develop into a ship. Did a bit of work on this late last night. I've been told there's a Blake's 7 element to it. If there was I'd say it's the fact that like the Federation Pursuit ships it lacks any discernable cockpit/command area, and there's nothing at the moment to give it it's true scale. Did a test render of it in Space, but there's still a fair bit I plan on adding to this, an engine would be a good start I would think ! :)

Star Wars scenes

I did these ships and pics in 2001 for a Star Wars related project on The Force.net. The 'Millenium Falcon' style ship was called 'The Quantum Pixie' Not the name I would have chosen but someone else was picking names. The Rebel ship was called a 'T-Wing' and the Imperial Ship with the single wing was called a 'Tie Gnat' The only model I didn't build here was the R2 units in the fighters, they came from The Force.net's guys. All models were built in Max 3 and rendered in Vue 4.Friday, September 08, 2006
Nose Cone - updated

This is a nose cone that I started recently, wanted to do something different colourwise, always been a huge fan of Peter Elson's work so I decided to go red and orange, very Thunderbird 3 also. Last bits I added to this was the detail to that mid trench area. I'll do some more work on this over the weekend maybe.Done a bit more work on this. It's all going a bit into the Chris Foss direction now.
Spaceship - Work in progress

When I call this a work in progress that's an understatement, I started this in Max 3 4 or so years ago, I then made alterations in Max 5 and now I've made more changes in Max 7. I even had this textured at one point then I took them off. Recent additions have been the guns and the new engines. I'll probably get this finished when Max 30 hits the shelves !!! :)

Downed Tripod
This is a very old picture using a Tripod model that I made out of primatives in Vue 2 many years ago, another newer pic I did with this model can be seen in my first post I made on this Blog http://tinyurl.com/j39sxI sent some of these pics a few years ago to John Christopher 'aka Samuel Youd' who wrote the Tripods books, he was very complimentary about my work. At the moment I don't think this author has a single book in print in the UK. There has been talk for quite a few years that a movie version of his Tripods Trilogy might be filmed, at present IMDB has Australian Director Gregor Jordan listed to be at the helm of this long awaited project. BBC TV filmed the first two books of the trilogy in the mid 8o's.
Star Wars - Skyhopper

I made this Skyhopper model in Max 3 around 3 or more years ago, this craft's only appearance in the Star Wars films besides the one parked in Luke's Garage in Episode 4, is at the end of the Special Edition of Return of the Jedi, it can be seen flying over Mos Eisley during the celebrations of the destruction of the Death Star, you know all that crap stuff Lucas added.

Storeroom Animation
I posted the pics of this scene way back on January the 9th this year. Here's an anim I did, I think You Tube has made the scene look a little darker than it was.
