Orange Spaceship Wreck

Didn't do anything to the geometry of the ship on this piccy, just messed around with the textures to show you how not to fly your Orange Spaceship. Just a quick image, I may eventually do an actual broken and battered model and do another scene of this ship crashed.

Also available in green

Here's another render of the ship without any colour or textures.

Orange Spaceship

I started this a while back and eventually got around to finishing it some weeks back, thought I best get around to doing some renders of the finished ship. I built the model in Max 7 and all pics are rendered in Vue 5 Infinite with some Photoshop work.

Mad Tom's Tank

I made this Tank model in Max 7 over a year or more ago for the Mad Tom's Farm project over at Qurios Entertainment. The tracks never got made by me because the guys at Qurios were going to have to build a set of tracks that could be animated. The model was base on this illustration by Niel Bushnell http://tinyurl.com/t3kqq

I love the Starsky and Hutch colour and stripe down the side. We also added a 'Mr Fusion' from Back to the Future although I belive they renamed it 'Mrs Fission' to avoid a legal problems :) There's also a satellite dish, so you can watch TV while you drive, though that's not recommended.

Here's a grey render of the model that I did. Kind of like an unpainted plastic kit.
I wanted to do at least one pic of the tank in an environment outdoors, but because it doesn't have tracks I figured I'd hide that area behind some mud and grass, a bit of a cheat I know :)
The Mad Tom's Farm project has now been renamed Farmageddon and has new Blog which you can visit here http://tinyurl.com/wyvua

I'm not sure if the tank is going to be in the project anymore, if it is I think it's playing a much smaller part than originally proposed.

All pictures were rendered in Vue 5 Infinite with some Photoshop work mainly for Depth of Field.

Greenhouse - Work in progress

I started making this a while ago, another model found lurking on my spare drive, not sure if I should do this as a brand new Greenhouse or an old one with smashed and cracked windows etc... ?

HDRI Render

Having a mess around in Vue Infinite with HDRI maps, a bit of Photoshop work here for Depth of Field.

Planet - Base 2

Modelled in Studio Max and rendered in Vue Infinite, with some Photoshop work.

This is holding back the River Ouse in 2156 from flooding Milton Keynes :)

Glass Objects

Some old and some new, but all rendered in Vue 5 Infinite. Any modelling work was done in Studio Max.

Ice World 2

Done using Geo Control, Vue 5 Infinite and Photoshop.

Mystery Object 2

2 different renders of the same object, done in Vue Infinite using HDRI lighting.

Oh and for Mark Jobe's benefit, no this isn't anywhere in Milton Keynes. :)

Landscape 2

Not so much Landscape as Seascape, I'm not sure how much land warrents a Landscape or is that just the format of the picture ? , maybe an island then :). Anyway thought I'd put this up here, another older pic that I've spent an hour tweaking in Photoshop.

Glasses

Here's an older render I did of some drinking glasses, I was never happy with the refraction/reflection on this pic, I don't like the reflection and curve on the drinking straw. This is something that I'll probably re-light and end up doing another render of eventually with another Glass material.

Vue 6 promotion

e-on Software makers of the Vue range of products are using one of my older pics done in Vue 5 Infinite on their site in their promotion of Vue 6 at the moment in the 'Product Visualization' section.

They're also using a section of one of my other older pics in the section for Vue 6 rendering.
Now if they'd only send me a free copy of Vue 6 :)

Here's an anim I did when I first built the Danger Mouse Car earlier in the year, nothing flash just a quick turnaround.

5000 Visitors

I've had over 5000 Visitors to my Blog since I put in the Visitor Counter, I really must start charging people :) Thanks to all who visit my Blog and thanks for the comments, feedback, abuse etc...
I try to at least get a few updates a week, I think I've done pretty well since January 1st to keep my Blog up and running with new posts, it seems like an awful lot of stuff I've posted, and it's good to see that people are visiting and I try and visit your Blogs to see all the other cool work that's out there ! It's strange to think that before the Internet the chances of seeing a lot of your work would have been pretty remote.
