Mining Lander - Work in progress PT 2

Here's a bit of an update on the Mining Lander, Drakath had mentioned the scale, so I've placed in some figures and some catwalk detail on the ship. The walkways on the arms leading to the engine pods are accessed by a hatch in the arm floor at the end where arm joins the main ship.

nice work.
the figures help alot,
not only in scale...but in
putting the viewer into the image.

I was walking around on the catwalk
checking out the planet myself.

Modeling is such a beautiful and perfect art form. It really knocks the crap out of traditional media and 2d art. It is so utterly amazing what can be done with technology. The added sense of scale is totally successful. That thing looks massive.

Wow, really nice to see some awesome talent here! Sorry I haven't had more time to socialize on blogger, but I really like the fun shapes and good execution in creation of these models.
