Orange Spaceship Animation

I posted the original model of this back in November, anyway I've been doing some Animations of it in Vue 5 Infinite for a reel of stuff I'm putting together. It's not going to be a showreel as such but more of a way of putting various animations I've done over the years together to a piece of music, it'll last about 3 and a half minutes when I get it finished. I don't consider myself an animator, I can move objects from A to B sure, but to me that's not really animation in the true sense, but occasionally I like to see the things I've made move even if it is a fairly straight forward affair of them just moving across the screen from left to right etc...

Not too sure who the Orange ships are fighting, but it'll probably end up being the green Starbug Ship I'm still working on. The Lasers were added in Photoshop afterwards using a white cylinder that was rendered out on two seperate passes in Vue so that they lined up with the barrels perspective Ok.

If you click on my November Archive you can see my original posts for this Orange Spaceship, and as soon as I have all the clips put together, some of which you'll have already seen posted here, then I'll post it up here.

Hey Andrew thanks for stopping by the Art Massacre blog glad you liked the post I love sci fi and adventure so this POST OF YOUR ROCKS HARD !!! I think it's great that you have the passion to animate I think that's the first and most important thing needed and everythinhg else can be learned with enough time effort. Well I went to school at Sheridan College for animation so maybe if you ever wnat to have your work done in 2D give me a shout and maybe we could collab on something I think that would be loads of fun. Oh and the effects done it photoshop are real tight love that you've got me all pumped, So keep them coming cause I;d love to see more of your attempts till then have a great weekend an stay fresh!!!

looks great! I wish I could do stuff like that - is that as labor intensive as I think?

It is when you're like me and don't have much of a clue what you're doing half the time. The render took overnight and a few hours to add the lasers and make some other adjustments !

Great renderings. I'm a sci-fi buff myself, so I guess I'm impartial to your stuff.

We need to see more!

I like the lasers, they are so shiny. Nice job doing them in photoshop.
