Mountains

This scene was rendered at 1600 x 900 and has a huge 26,141,437,764 polygons in it, it took around 4 hours on my machine on Vue's 'superior' render setting.

Wow that's really impressive! Is Vue difficult to use?

Hey thanks for the positive feedback of my blog.
Nice, Vue render, I've been reading a lot about Vue, seems like a wicked program. Awesome stuff man, love the transport ship.

How do you imagine these scenes?

Did you work from a mental image?

26 BILLION polys?
I think you've multiplied it by 100 too many..

Hi Andy, Vue is very simple to use, though I've been using Vue since version 2 so I'm used to it.
Chuang, I just tend to make it up as I go doing quick test renders and moving stuff about.
Matt, that figure is correct, 26 Billion poly's for this scene !
Thanks to everyone else for the feedback !!

Great cloudy mist layer and subdued lighting, it's got a real atmosphere to it.

Thanks again for introducing me to Vue, it really is the way to go. I just need a beefier computer as it really eats memory.

My little iMac would take a week to render a count like that! What kind of computer are you using?

Also, like Michael above, I'm using Vue, albeit Easel, thanks to seeing your stuff here. All the stuff I see here makes me want to upgrade! Great job!

Fine work, very moody. The sky looks wonderful.
I usually use photos to enhance the sky in my own work, it works fine but it's somehow limited. But after seeing your renderings I should give Vue a chance...

btw. The rendertime is amazing.
