Tripods Covers - Circa 2002

Here are a few rather old pics I did, probably 2002. They were my take on the 4 Book covers to The Tripods novels by John Christopher. I was quite pleased with these at the time, looking back now they ain't so hot. Click the Labels link for other Tripod related pics and a bit of the history about this Tripod model used in these pictures.

Ok, well, Pool of Fire looks a little bland, but I wouldn't call it bad. The other three look very good. The White Mountains looks excellent, in fact. I would not be ashamed of any of these. I would be exceedingly pleased with these, were they mine.

Yeah the Pool of Fire really needs the hot air balloons on the cover or something I suppose, thanks for the comment !

Actually, I like the Pool of Fire cover compared to the others. They may not be so hot but still holds up. So did all these make it to the printing?

These were done purely as a geeky fan thing, they were never meant to be actual book covers.

I like these, the White Mountains one is my favorite. I'd say they could have done with better text/font though.

Yes the font was always pretty duff, sadly I did the text in a photo package that didn't allow me to keep layers like Photoshop does, so there's no chance of changing it now.
