Zombie Head

The base mesh for this was a low poly Poser 4 head, I then did about 3 subdivisions in Mudbox and then used the tools available to make this head into this Zombie, exported it from Mudbox as an OBJ and then textured and rendered it in Vue 5.

Tower - Work in Progress

I've done some work on a tower that I made and abandoned last year based on a painting by Chris Foss. The basic geometry and striped look are Foss but a lot of the detail, panels etc... I've added. This may get a bit more work then go back into the models waiting for a use folder. :)

Alien Head

I made this Alien in Max a few years back, but only recently I've done a bit of testing out Mudbox on him, he was already quite high poly so I didn't do as many adjustments to him as if he'd been a low poly head getting subdivided purely in Mudbox.

Mudbox Skull

I made this skull as low poly mesh in Max then brought it into Mudbox, I wanted to give it an Evil Dead Deadite feel like some of the skull in the Army of Darkness

I was trying out a rough texture on the bottom picture to make it look like it was old and caked in dry mud etc... I think I should lose 1 or 2 of the teeth as well.

Transport Ship pt 3 - Work in Progress

It looks like the top ship here has been rejected, so I've submitted another design, see pic below, and they're happier with that one. Emmett says the top ship looks a little too ominous for what they want and they think the bottom transport ship looks more manned than the top ship. I suppose it because my top ship doesn't have windows and could be automated. Anyway I'm going to try and finish the top ship for myself one day and plod on with the 2nd ship.

Creature

Here's a bit of messing about, this started as a low poly mesh in Max, I just brought it into Mudbox for a play and it's ended up very Skeksis like, the bad guys from The Dark Crystal. This is about as far as this'll go as my max mesh was very basic. Still I thought I'd post what I'd done.

Deployment Strategy - 3D Visual Effects work

Mark Cheng director of the film Deployment Strategy has just posted an FX reel of 3D shots over at his films Blog. These use 3D meshes that I made or worked on with Simon Hilton. I posted my work on these last year but I'm posting a few of the images here again.

I designed, constructed and textured the main Police vehicle for the film, the vehicle is used by Division 9 of the United States Homeland Security Cyber Crimes unit.

The 2nd vehicle I built and designed was this city bus. I passed this over to Simon Hilton who textured it for Mark.
Finally I built this tower which started life as another model, some cargo containers. This was also passed over to Simon who added the roof details etc... and did the texture work.

Final FX work was handled by Art Duck Studios who are based in Warsaw, Poland.

Check out the link to the FX work reel here which is over at Mark Cheng's site http://tinyurl.com/244gfb

Transport Ship pt 2 - Work in Progress

This ship has gone from being a background vehicle to mid ground, back to background and now I don't know where it's going to end up. Anyway this is where it's up to at the moment. From what Emmett has told me it would seem that a lot of the main ships will probably end up as actual miniatures, even though like me one of their other concept artists is designing the ships in CG. Background vehicles will end up being CG, or at this moment that's what I've been told. This project should have a final title within the next few weeks. Anyway this ship is a Transport craft, I posted the nose section of this a month or so ago. I've still got lots of detail to add to the top and I'm awaiting decisions on colours and logo's etc... for this craft.
