Honey Nut Cheerios commercial - Part 3

I went to see my mate's over at Qurios Entertainment yesterday, and Niel there told me that I had to update this blog or he'd post the video he has of me up on You Tube, now I'm not sure what video he means but I wasn't going to take the risk.
So here's an update. When I first got the offer to do the rocket and gantry on the Honey Nut Cheerios advert I started building a section of what would have eventually been a much chunkier gantry, this was just the elevator/stairs and access ganty, to be fastened to something with lots of pipes detail etc...

As I mentioned in my first post about this advert, the guys at Uli Meyer Animation liked the European Ariane 5 style of ship and gantry over the US/Nasa style of craft. I didn't really have a final idea for what the rest of the gantry would look like, but I was looking over some Derek Meddings and Mike Trim stuff from the Gerry Anderson era of miniature FX, also found some nice miniature work by Martin Bower which made great reference.

I salvaged a few part of this for the finished gantry but otherwise this has gone into the spare bits folder on my PC.

So YOU did it?
I was watching it the other day thinking that was really good (especially for a cheerios commercial)... Small world...

Great work!
