This model is a rework of the City Transport Vehicle I did for Mark Cheng's short SF Film Deployment Strategy. See the original model I made here

The new engines look more sturdy and provide faster speed.

I really love this version, I like the cockpit you've added and I love the colour of this version too. Super work on the new engine pods also. :)

Once again... Awesome work!!!

Absolutely awesome. These designs feel more real then most of the stuff coming out of blockbuster movies and AAA game titles. If I was a vfx sup I'd hire you on for concept, miniatures, and modeling. Awesome work

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for your kind words. You have some great 3d stuff. I'm actually trying to break into that realm myself.

Cheers!

Ooh shiny! Looks great in orange, Andrew. Is that a few different shaders to get that sheen or just a really nice material?

nice work! Thanks for visiting my blog. How did you render that? Care to share the lighting and rendering process?

Andrew Glazebrook said...

Raymond, I just rendered the vehicle without any lights at all, then I rendered a version with Ambient Occlusion, then I put a single Omni in with the properties set to 0 then I rendered out just the reflection map, then they were all combined in Photoshop.
Michael, it's a pretty simple Phong Material with a reflection map.

That's all completely foreign to me, all that I know is that it looks cool :) You going to make an inside to it ?

Raymond Chua said...

pretty! I will try that out!
