Toxic Mover

I built this model in Studio Max 3 around 4 years ago as a background vehicle for an SF Short. Niel Bushnell of Qurios Entertainment wrote the story quite a while back, and as far as I know is still planning on making it into a CG short eventually.
This vehicle was designed to be a Toxic Waste mover, the top pod area being detachable so it can be jettisoned into the sun or dumped on a uninhabitable world etc... then the bottom module can be re-used.
It could probably do with some re-texturing and additional work if it ever gets to be used, but I suppose projects take time and Niel's has to be fit in with other more important stuff like work.

This is strange and somewhat different. I can't seem to find the words but all I can say now is that I like it quite a bit.

Hi Andrew, thanks for commenting on my blog, andysanimation.blogspot.com

I love these models. It gives me a strange feeling to look at them due to the perception of size. They look like huge machines, but at the same time like little toys. I'm not sure if thats a good thing but its an optical illusion that I like!

Since you seem to be someone who knows about the business, could you have a look at my Flickr site please? I have some CGI pictures done in Maya on there. Maybe you could let me know what you think? It's at http://www.flickr.com/photos/andylatham/

Cheers!
