Corridor Concept 3

I'd not heard from Emmett Hagen and the guys at Sun Gate Films since May when they were looking for new studio space for their SF Film. I had an e-mail off Emmet earlier saying that production on this project has now shut down.
They are working on a non SF related picture at the moment but don't think it's likely that they'll get back into production on their SF production. Emmet said they have sold a large number of the props etc... that were already made to a prop rental house to recoup some of the money that had been spent.
From the designs I'd done they've kindly returned the rights back to me so I can do what I want with the stuff I did for them.
The corridor design here was one of the early ones I did which was rejected for being a bit to large and not really what they were after, it wasn't a finished mesh and the render wasn't done at the highest quality, but I thought I'd post it anyway. There were a couple of other bits and pieces that I'd done or started that I'll post up here when ever I have the time.
I wish Emmett all the best in his other project.

Gingerbreed - Spaceship - Work in Progress Pt 9

It's hard to show this landing leg out of context with the ship, but I'm not allowed to show the rest of the ship yet. Anyway been working on the main landing legs which means the ship does land in the movie. Some work modeling wise to do on the legs yet but this was just a quick test, the very top part of the leg won't be seen, that sits inside the ship where the landing legs retracts from. The legs will have a bit of give when the ship lands and then as the legs raise the ship back up a clamp will lock the gear in place, I'm still working on that mechanism now.
The guys at Gingerbreed have a version of the Spaceship model that they're using to block out shots with at the moment.

Blake's 7 - Teleport Bracelet 3

This is a pretty obscure build even by my standards, I made this based on an original design by Ian Scoones for the teleport bracelet for series 1 of Blake's 7 at about the same time I made the other bracelets, just never got around to doing a pic of it until now, for quickness I just replaced the actual series 1 teleport from my older picture with this one. See Labels below.
The concept drawing this was based on was in the book Blake's 7: The Inside Story published in 1997.
The description gives the measurements as Length - 5-½, Width 2-½ and Height as 4 inches. Which makes for a pretty chunky bracelet, no wonder they went for the slimmer ones in the end. He notes it should have a white plasticard finish with foam rubber around the wrist and that 30 of these be made with 6 extra breakable ones.

Ship Interior

Here's something else that probably falls into the category of 'still to do' . I did this test last year based on something I did for some of the Hyperdrive craft that got a little lost in the show. I've always wanted to do either a miniature or CG ship that has windows with an actual modelled and illuminated and detailed interior, quite a few windows so as the ship passes you can see something is in there and it's not just an empty looking ship. I think only Star Trek in the past has really attempted this in some of it's ship fly-by's. The interior model would be fairly low poly but with enough detail in the area's that will be visible though the windows, there would be illuminated screens, flashing lights, CG Crew walking around, anything to give the ship life if it flew by and you could see inside.
Here are some tests I did at the time, a low poly corridor section, and a view from outside a section of ships hull, and also a quick animated test that I did showing an interior door opening as we move past with a low poly, non animated man stood inside.
Eventually I'd like to do a big ship with lots of these sections, but for the moment this will have to wait.

Federation Pursuit Ship - Circa 2003

I made this model around 2003 for a bit of fun, made as a variation on the Blake's 7 Federation Pursuit Ships, this was mean't to be a lighter quicker version of those craft. I made the picture below at the time then in around 2004 Niel Bushnell from Qurios Entertainment did this quick anim fly-by with my model.

Check my Labels for other Blake's 7 related models that I've made.
